Ginger Nuts is very Tasty & Healthy Food.

Sift Flour, Baking Powder, Ground Ginger and Salt Into a Bowl. Add the Brown Sugar and Stir to Combine. Beat the Egg With the Golden Syrup and Add to the Dry Ingredients.roll Into a Log 6cm/2 ½” in Diameter, Preheat Oven Take Slices of the Mixture and Gently Press Onto the Lightly Greased Oven Trays. Press a Piece of crystallized Ginger on the Top of Each Biscuit.bake in Oven Until Lightly Browned. Dust With Icing Sugar to Serve

  1. Step

    30 Min

    Sift flour, baking powder, ground ginger and salt into a bowl. Add the brown sugar and stir to combine. Rub the butter into the mixture until it has a very fine crumb consistency. Beat the egg with the golden syrup and add to the dry ingredients. Work into a firm dough with your hands. Roll into a log 6cm/2 ½” in diameter and chill for 30 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 180ºC/350°F. Take 55g/2 oz slices of the mixture and gently press onto the lightly greased oven trays about 5cm/2” apart. Press a piece of crystallised ginger on the top of each biscuit.

    15 Min

    Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Dust with icing sugar to serve.
